Zhabjeythang Lhakhang
In the 8th century Padmasambhawa, Guru Rinpoche us said to have mediated at zhabjethang and left several imprints in the rocks which are highly venerated relics. Hence the name of the place “The plain of the Footprint”. A statu of Guru Rinpoche is the main treasure. A the bottom floor in a small chamber is a rock bearing the foot prints of Guru Rinpoche and his consort Menmo Tashi Kheudroen, the daughter of King Sindu Raja of Bumthang whose life was saved by Guru Rinpoche. There is also a throne (Zhug Thri) above the temple. There is also a tree and is believed as a walking stick of Guru. The temple as has a fine painting of the 12th century Tibetan saint Milerepa, probably done in the late 19th century.
The Zhabjethang Lhakhang (ཞབས་རྗེས་ཐང་ལྷ་ཁང།) is located in Choekhor Toe, Bumthang. The place is said to be a lake and turned the lake into land by Guru Rinpochhe with his miraculous power by throwing a stone from above.
