Tango Dzongkha ney located about 2 hours uphill climb from Tango is a sacred place of Dorji Phamo-Vajrayogini.The whole hillock is believed to be her body manifestation. Atop the ney is a marvellous cave where Dungsey Ngawang Tenzin, son of Lam Drukpa Kuenley , meditated. Tango Dzongkha also was later the seat of 4th Desi Tenzin Rabgyel and his sister .

The drubkhang of Choeje Ngawang Tenzin, son of Drukpa Kuenley and grandfather of Gyalsey Tenzin Rabgye above Tango Buddhist university. The drubkhang is located above Dzongkha Drubdey. The Drubdey is further located two hours on foot uphill from Tango monastery. Choeje Ngawang Tenzin meditated there in the 15th century, and opened the doors of the ney of Dorji Phagmo. If you decide to visit, please be mindful that today the place is a meditation centre and has over 20 practioners.
